Spring Highfolk VDDWs
Spring Games
The month of Planting is a time for festivities across the Free Lands of Highfolk. Even in strange times such as these—like “planting” isn’t needed because last year’s crop refused to die— the Free Folk come together for games, laughter, and merriment. This spring, as a new trilogy of Highfolk adventures premieres in May and June, there will indeed be games at the VDDWs.
“Capture the Spirits” Project
This spring there’s the first-of-its-kind BMG community event: the “Capture the Spirits” project. Create your interpretation of three nature spirits of Highfolk. Some submissions may even get spotlighted! Submit via this form – deadline is May 12!
Interactive Highfolk Map
Highfolk is all about exploration. So what better way to explore the frontier than an interactive map? And like a Cartographer Artificer’s Atlas, the map will continue to evolve as more locations and insights are revealed!
Trinket “Table” Channel
The popular Highfolk trinket “table” will return at each of the May and June VDDWs in the convention Discord. Roll on the table to collect your character’s own item from the region full of whimsy, mystery, or hints of the strange and dangerous! Use your LoG code to tie it to your character’s BMG discord ID log!
Riddle of the Trees
A true riddle stands the test of time–and the Riddle of the Trees has endured! Take a chance to play the game using this board. Answer the two riddles and win beautiful Highfolk prizes here. (If you’re stuck, the “intrepid” Gobbo’s field guide can help, as can fall 2025 BMG social media posts and Highfolk adventures.)
The Highfolk Regional Travel Mechanic
Coming soon – Highfolk’s regional mechanic. Highfolk is a frontier, to be explored like the days of old–with meaningful results. This spring, the “Travel Mechanic” will give players and DMs alike a taste of that old style of play in the context of Organized Play–hex crawls included!
Adventures
Of course, there will be the adventures themselves. You can learn more here with their official descriptions as well as intro “crawl” videos offering a cinematic way to introduce the story
